As you can image and despite COVID, our work within our communities went on regardless. Sure, there were lockdowns, restrictions on movements and less money to do our work. But the reality was that the world and many people were in the same situation as we were here. Yet despite the scourge of the pandemic, not one person in One Horizon’s communities of youth, women, the aged and the Maasai were infected. Our communities remained healthy and focussed on what they needed to do to avoid infection. We took all the precautions that the rest of the world was implementing and chief amongst them were face masks and washing of hands. And these basic steps continue to this day. But it has paid off and that’s why, as we welcome visitors back to Kenya, we are confident that it’s going to be a safe environment for all of us. Keep safe and well until we catch up again soon.
