Insights of Life safari is a rare opportunity to connect with Kenyan people, culture and lifestyle in an intimate and grass roots way. This tour not only gives insights into the lives of Kenya’s most inspirational people, but it also redefines what a holiday can really become.

Day 1: And They Said It Couldn’t Be Done! The day is all about discovering that solving poverty rests with all of us and your visit to One Horizon’s Women’s Empowerment Centre will lift you with hope and inspiration. 

Day 2:  Creating New Futures For the Next Generation At a One Horizon nutrition and education center you will be able to see how initiatives are changing the lives of the community and how Kenyans are preparing the next generation of leaders. 

Day 3: Time Out With Some Hippos  We’re heading to Sopa Lodge at Lake Naivasha where we will transfer to a skiff spotting the hippo herds who inhabit the lake.  And if lucky, you’ll also see the wild herds of giraffe, zebra and water buck that wonder through the grounds of the lodge.

Day 4: Grandmas Really Do Love Their Pigs  You’ll discover how it’s possible to turn a grandma’s long life of poverty into to one with regular income and no more hunger. 

Day 5: The Masai The world of the Masai is changing as it is for all of us.   But even in this ancient culture there is positive change aligned with traditional cultural practices.

Day 6: Reflections and Recollections of Your Incredible Week   We will pick you up at 10.00 am for a leisurely breakfast with some of the amazing people you have met over the past week.  From there its to Karen Blixen for lunch in the incredible gardens that give this place such a presence.  

One Horizon Team Dinners  On days 1, 3 and 5 we also enjoy dinner at a Nairobi restaurant which is a not only a great opportunity to experience Kenyan nightlife and meet the locals, but also to have some fun with the One Horizon team and ask us all the questions that your holiday is sure to evoke.
