Nairobi National Park has welcomed a new and rare species of white rhino. The news about the birth of the young rhino was shared by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) on Saturday, February 15. “We are thrilled to report the birth of a white rhino in Nairobi National Park. The lucky mother rhino had gone into hiding from hawk-eyed rangers only for her to resurface with a three-day-old calf. Welcome to the family baby rhino,” tweeted KWS. This comes barely a day after a Kenyan elephant gave birth to twins in Amboseli National Park. With the calf’s birth coming just around Valentine’s Day, KWS did not miss an opportunity to share the bundle of joy with Kenyans. In a video shared by the wildlife body, the baby rhino was spotted walking around its mother probably in search of something to feed on.
And this is why Kenya is the leading wildlife sanctuary in the world. Nairobi national park surrounds the city and you are only 10 minute away from some amazing wildlife experiences
