I was blessed with the opportunity to become immersed in the heart and soul of Kenya and its people.

One Horizon was spot on in providing me with a safe, comfortable environment that gave me the joy of experiencing the true Kenyan spirit. I experienced projects that included the Empowerment of Women, a Day with the Masai, Farming program for Grandmas, and a visit to one of the schools supported by One Horizon. All of my tours left me feeling FULL from the connection I had with my new Kenyan friends. One Horizon allowed me to be a part of a socio-culture experience that made me feel like I had a connection with both the people, culture and environment. Learning about the traditions, struggles and joys of the Kenyan women and families has encouraged me to bring travelers to One Horizon and their tour opportunities several times in the past three years. I hope to continue sharing the connection and opportunity to support the lives of my Kenyan friends. I walk away from each experience knowing I have become a better person through my interactions provided by One Horizon.

Our most memorable tour in Kenya

We were eight travel agents on a Kenyan safari enjoying one of the most incredible and exciting experiences of our careers. Seeing animals in the wild is something we think everyone should experience once in their lifetime. But the highlight for all of us was meeting Colin Murray and his One Horizon project. We had booked an excursion for Nairobi called Farm to Feast. We were picked up by Colin, who took us to pick up piglets (paid for by the cost of our excursion) to be delivered to grandmothers who are raising their grandchildren in difficult conditions. We met the ladies, visited their community garden, and went to one of their homes and helped them prepare a traditional feast for us. The food was fabulous, we danced and sang and fell in love with the ladies. One Horizon Africa was easy to work with and provided for us with a most memorable day. We have all recommended One Horizon Africa to our clients who visit Nairobi.

It was amazing experience, never can imagine that Maasai life is like this.

Communication is friendly and professional at the same time, service was fully adjusted to the individual needs it was more than we expected. The safari tour is our life experience. I continuously share information about this project among university students during my lectures in the field of business communication. This is great example of the humanitarian project that includes local community needs. Students like the idea very much. We all can learn about patience, empathy and hard work from all of you.
