To A Life Beyond
Why Do The Pyramids Exist?
We will explore the life and works of Pharoah Snefuru, whose passion and drive 4,500 years ago led to the construction of the first pyramids – enormous royal tombs designed to align with the stars of the constellation Orion and within, Osiris, the god of rebirth. We will experience the pyramids not just as immense monuments, but as a mystical channel to transport the pharaohs to their next life.
The Great Temples Of The Nile
Even the names of the mighty Nile River and its many wonders – Luxor, the Temples of Karnak, Valley of the Kings – conjure mysterious and colourful worlds. We will ply the waters of that most iconic river, landing at the Temples of Karnack in Luxor, a vast ornamentation of chapels, obelisks, and sanctuaries, revered as the site of all creation.
Sailing on, we will discover the ancient rock-cut tombs of the Valley of the Kings and for 500 years, the burial sites of the royal pharaohs. Found in these crypts: the mummified remains of Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses II.

Both Egypt and Kenya are stories of timeless horizons – one rewards us with the longest procession of human history, and the other, an ageless gift of the natural world: elephants, lions, cheetahs and so much more.
In delightful contrast to Egypt’s ancient cities and temples, it’s the people of Kenya who may impact you the most. We will spend time at a Maasai Village, learning their stories, dancing and singing, and exploring on a guided nature walk through the bush.
