Day 1: Arrival Into Kenya and Overnight Accommodation
Meet, Greet and Transfers
Our representative will be on hand to facilitate your transit through Customs and Immigration. Our representative will ensure a smooth transition and booking process at the Palacina Hotel. Time to rest up after your flight in preparation for the start of your trip.

Day 2: Today We Visit a Maasai Community
All safari companies show you the wildlife of Africa. But at One Horizon, you will also meet the people of Africa. Spend time with them, learn about their lives, and be transformed in ways you never imagined and in a profound way than would be possible on any other tour.

Day 3: And Today, We Meet Some Incredible Grandmas
We offer so many ways to feel the magic of our Kenya villages and their welcoming people. Meet a Kikuyu Granny on her farm and discover the struggles and strength of Kenyan women. An opportunity to visit a local and thriving community to listen, learn, and laugh as you help prepare chapattis for a Kenyan home-cooked meal

Day 4: Helping at a Soup Kitchen Will Change You Forever

Day 5: The Incredible Maasai Mara and its Wildlife
These 4 days/3 night experience embrace all that is exciting about wildlife safaris in Kenya. The Maasai Mara is the doyen of all Kenya’s wildlife areas.
Mid-morning, you will head off to Wilson Airport for the 45-minute flight to the Masai Mara and Entim Camp. Upon arrival you will transfer to a 4-wheel drive vehicle for your trip to the camp. Entim Camp provides 5 star luxury.

Day 6:Wildlife Viewing will Dominate Your Days
Early Morning and Evening Game Drives
The Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of 1500 square kilometres of savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya. Its wildlife includes lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, giraffe and hippos and wildebeest.

Day 7: Your Guides Will Ensure the Best Viewing
Your Guide Will Get You Up-close to The Wildlife
After breakfast you will have a guided nature walk around the camp by a resident guide and after lunch you will have an afternoon game drive. The game drive experiences will delight you as your guide will take you to the places that wildlife frequent. And Entim Camp is a perfect base from which to head out.

Day 8: You Depart Entim Camp for Your Flight to Nairobi

Day 10: The First of 2 Incredible Days in Cairo
Saqqara – The Saqqara area is the most researched archaeological site in Egypt with recent excavations undercovering new tombs previously unknown.
Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx – Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure are over 4500 years old and are a testament to ancient Egyptians skills

Day 11: Where History, Culture and Adventure Converge
We begin the day at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation for a great perspective of the influences that shaped Egypt. After lunch we venture into Old Cairo, combining places of historical interest in both Coptic (Christian) and Islamic Cairo. We explore the Hanging Church, the as well as the architectural masterpiece Muhammad Ali Mosque, the Citadel and the tomb of Muhammad Ali.

What You Can Expect from This Experience
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation (NMEC) was opened in 2017 and provides an introduction to Egyptian Society that gives both perspective and deep insight into this amazing society.
The history of Egypt is presented in themes with the bottom floor built like a pharaohs tomb whilst the upper floors cover more recent periods. There over 20 mummies in the museum, each with a history of their times and achievements.
A World Class Museum Dedicated to Egyptian History
Since its opening in 2017, NMEC has gained an international reputation for excellence.
Its themes include the Dawn of Civilization, The Nile, Writing, State and Society, Material Culture, Beliefs and Thinking and the Gallery of Royal Mummies. It provides deep insight to the amazing society that the Egyptians built from prehistoric days to the present. The Museum is in Al Fustat, an area at the heart of Egyptian history.
Ancient Egypt’s Incredible Achievements
Egypt is considered to have been one of the most, if not the most, advanced ancient civilizations. It developed thousands of years before many other cultures. The scope of the ancient Egyptians brilliance and innovation ranged from its well-known architectural accomplishments (the pyramids) which were based on the ground-breaking achievements it made in mathematics and engineering, to its advancement in the sciences of astronomy, medicine, medical surgery and the law.
Day 12: Today You Fly to Aswan to Join Your Nile Cruise
Breakfast at the hotel – transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan.
Aswan Dam and Elephantine Island: The dam is the world largest embankment dam. And today, you will embark on a 1 hour sail on a traditional Egyptian craft called a felucca.
Philae Temple Complex: According to the legend, Philae is the place where Isis found the heart of Osiris and then, buried it on the Island.

Day 13: Leisurely Cruising and Amazing Sites
Abu Simbel: The pharaoh Ramses II built the temple in 1200 BC. It was relocated to its current site when the Aswan Dam was built.
Temple Kombo Ombo: Located on the banks of the Nile in a village of the same name, Kom Ombois is unique in Egypt as a double temple- dedicated to two deities, Sobek and Horus.

Day 14: Where the History Flows and Captivates
The Great Temples of Karnak and Luxor
Karnak is an ancient Egyptian temple precinct located on the east bank of the Nile River in Thebes (modern-day Luxor). It covers more than 100 hectares, and is an extraordinary complex of sanctuaries and obelisks dedicated to the pharaohs.

Day 15: A Spectacular Final Day
The Valley of the Kings and Workers: The Valley of the Kings is where, rock-cut tombs were excavated for pharaohs in the New Kingdom. The Valley of the Workers was where the tomb artisans lived.
The Temple of Hatshepsut Queen Hatshepsut’s temple was to ensure that Hatshepsut’s life story was told.

Day 16: Transfers to Cairo International Airport

Perhaps Some Last Minute Shopping – Optional Tour. If you have a late evening departure time we can organise a shopping adventure at Khan El Khalili Bazaar. This is an amazing place where you can shop or sit in the coffee shops and have lunch or dinner.

Dr Mark Lehner ranks amongst the most outstanding Egyptologists of the modern era. Within a select group of Egyptologists such as Petrie, Carter, Hawass and others, Mark has earned his international reputation based on over 40 years of conducting research and excavations in Egypt. His discoveries, such as the workers village close to the Giza Pyramids, and his academic treatise and publications have contributed greatly to the world’s understanding of ancient Egypt. Mark is also the founder of the Ancient Egyptians Research Associates (AERA) whose work includes training the next generation of Egyptian Egyptologists.
